Bull Bar? Grille Guard? Push Bar? Bumper Buddy? Nah, this is the Hevy Hitter. It's a DEFENSIVE tool designed specifically for your 3rd Generation Chevy or GMC van. It’s a hevy hunk of steel that mounts on your front bumper to give you some extra protection if things get rough.
This thing is crazy thicc and ready for impact. Side plates are laser cut from 1/4” steel, crossbars are 2.5” 11ga steel. As you can see from the photos, there’s two styles available, “Standard” as modeled by Mr. Yuck (green) and “XL” as modeled by Helmut (blue). For 78-91 GVans, the Standard model mounts by drilling 4 holes in the bumper, while the XL mounts at the stock inner mounting bracket holes after removing your old carriage bolts. For 92-95/96 GVans, you’ll drill 4 holes for either bar setup, the “standard” would mount just inside your rubber bumperettes if you have them.
As seen into the last photo, these bars are designed to break down for shipment, so they should travel much more affordably than a full size bull bar. There’s a threaded insert welded into the ends of the crossbars, and countersunk holes in the side plates that accept the included stainless hardware. Stainless carriage bolts/washers/nuts are also included for mounting to your bumper, so you’ll have everything you need in the box besides a drill!
Right now, these are offered raw or powder coated...if you choose the raw option, you will need to paint or otherwise coat it on your own as the raw steel will rust. If you choose powder coating, your bar will be both sandblasted and powder coated, and the Hitter you receive is finished and ready to mount. Currently, we are only offering powder coating in black, grey, or white, so if you'd like another color you'll have to figure out coating on your end once you receive your Hitter.
Note that these are designed specifically to fit 78 thru 95/96 Chevy and GMC G-Series Vans. We're not currently offering other fits, but we may in the future...drop us a message and let us know if you gotta have one for your rig!
